1.2.14 It has been some time
We have lost touch with the blog but have discovered why.
Facebook has allowed us to post more frequently - also some change over for Hotmail and gmail. It has taken me sometime to establish the right codes to get back into the site. Well here is our latest. A cute video of Joshua making his first Youtube Video.

We have had such a great summer with family and friends. We had a great deal of sun this year and soaked up as much as we could. California was such a treat, Joshua can ride a bike now, rides the bus to public school, is reading, and we are so amazed. Here is a little clip of our adventures - they are not in any order, but this way was fun.

Palm Springs/Laguna Beach 2012
We had a great time in California. It was quite the adventure. We still had trouble staying unplugged from our work, but got plenty of time in for fun and good times! We had a great flight over and it was very hot in Palm Springs. We spent three days there getting sun, meeting Josh's friends Jen and Ashaly, Isabella, and Josh. The beach was much cooler and we had a few days of overcast and partial overcast. The last two days were open sky perfect! We had some good times eating and just hanging out. Enjoy!

Happy 2012 !!

Early December 2011
We have had some great times with family and friends. We went to dinner for Linda's birthday and watched the Seattle night from up high. We have completed the first stage of soccer and the parents had to play the last game with the kids. Since, we have had a wonderful Thanksgiving have shared many great adventures with friends - go seahawks!, and have been getting ready for the holidays. Enjoy! It has been a great year, we are blessed.

11.11.11 was this month.
We have had some fun these past weeks. Joshua is doing well in soccer. He was the only kid to score a goal in the right goal - of course not that it matters. We were proud of him and he was proud of himself too.
We have been going to sushi for lunch after soccer. He gobbles up the egg, veggies, ice cream. Mom sent us some family photos we shared with Joshua.
Stacey and I had parents night out with friends and Joshua played with his friends N&N. I went to the Sea Hawks game, which turned out to be a great game! Fun was had by all.
Soccer continues to change as we had a series of new games and obstacles to overcome. Josh has such a good time. There is a great photo shoot of Joshua here. His Nana saw this and we just had to scoop up some photos of our little soccer player.
Oh i almost forgot, we were eating at a restaurant on Mercer Island and saw Rabi Star (who married Stacey and I)in a photo on the wall. He must be watching over us. I just had to take a photo.
It is amazing what you find on your iphone photos. We lived through 11.11.11 at 11:11 PM and AM I guess.
Also, recently we were gifted a blue ray player we thought was broken. I got a firmware update disk from the manufacturer and presto it works! Our VCR ate the first part of the VHS tapes Dad just sent us, so I stopped the machine and ordered the disks. After a few days waiting Josh and I watched our first bit of Star Wars. It was great! He asks a lot of questions when he is a scared or it gets intense. Fun times!

Soccer Play & Holloween 2011

Week 5 Soccer Practice
The colors are turning, the weather is cooling down, and we have indoor soccer, woot!
We laugh at those poor folks playing in the grass outside. At any rate the kids are learning to spread out a bit and pass the ball.

10.8.11 Soccer Week Three
Week three: We are doing great as a team. Joshua had some great passes from other kids and scored three goals. He gets the idea of making himself open for a pass and then they kick it to him. Away he goes. At one point he and another kid kicked the ball in opposite directions at the same time and you would have thought a small bomb went off. Kids went everywhere. Really, not that bad, but funny.
We had the opportunity to go to the Seattle Sounders FC soccer game. It was an evening game. Joshua did great. We had a great expeience. If anything we were over dressed - it was not that cold. We had great seats and food, what more could you want? Oh a win, yes. We did not win. We lost 2 to nothing, but we were not dissappointed. It was a fun game.

We had a great family day. Nana and Poppy met us at the soccer center. Joshua scored one goal in the scrimage game! He is a pretty fast kid. Fun day.

Great End of Summer 2011
We got the chance to spend some time with our good friends in Whidbey Island. We hate to see summer go, but it appears it is. The trees are showing signs of changing and the rains appear to have set in. We had a bang up time though. Here are some of our adventures.

Sea Fair 2011
Well we have had some fun. We hunted for Blue Angels on multiple days. Josh and I finally used scooters (his idea) to get in to the main area and park away. It was nice, but I forgot cash and real food. We had water but had to ride into Columbia City to get food and cash. We survived and back to the show we went. Josh got rid of his bad nay nay issue. He is growing up.

Summer Fun 2001 - 7/13/11
We have had a few great weeks. We have spent time with our friends, visited this great castle park, camped in the back yard, and went to a Mariners Game Spontaneously today.

Carnival Day! June 2011
We started the day off planning to do the climbing wall at REI downtown Seattle. It proved to be overwhelming. Poor guy will try again, but he did get pretty far into it for five years old. So we headed up north to meet up with friends at the carnival.

Happy Easter! Star Wars and Lake Union Kayak Adventure
We had a great day in Seattle. It was perfect. Josh went on his first Kayak ride. This was his first ride in a kayak. He tried to paddle, but it was pretty hard for him. He enjoyed the ride. We got to Gas Works Park and got out - took some photos. We played all day - took pictures of our recent lego builds. We also played outside - josh is learning to catch. Happy Easter Everyone!

Joshua's Fifth Birthday
This year has been very special. We spread this birthday out. Joshua was king for a week. He had a party at school, opened various gifts days before his birthday, had a 321 bounce house birthday with all his friends, a mini birthday evening with his parents on the day of his birthday. It has been great. Everyone got him very thoughtful gifts and of course this year seems to have been the Star Wars birthday theme. There are lego SW guys, SW full size DarthV, blow up light sabors, and a SW Blanket. He is in Heaven. He also got a head lamp for camping and an umbrella - perfect for here.
For his birthday he got some very special gifts from Memere and Gramps - a full size skateboard! From Grandpa Carmon he got an RC race boat set! We are ready for the summer. Nana brought over balloons for the morning of his birthday and that made his day.
Yesterday, we went to see Joshua in his first school produciton - "The Little Read Hen." He was tired but did very good. Sang in the back left center.
